Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurology, Neurological Surgery, Orthopedic surgery, Radiology


The course is designed to provide detailed knowledge of procedural anatomy and hands-on training.


Demonstrate and Train the Following Injection Techniques


To improve knowledge of normal cervical, thoracic and lumbosacral spine and paraspinal anatomy, and to demonstrate and coach spine injection techniques:

1. Cervical medial branch block         

2. Cervical selective nerve root block

3. Thoracic medial facet joint block

4. Lumbar medial branch/facet joint block

5. Subarachnoid injection

6. Caudal epidural injection 

7.  Sacroiliac joint injection

Radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation techniques with ultrasound guidance will be discussed as extracurricular topics


To improve knowledge of normal anatomy, to discuss and demonstrate common and uncommon sites of entrapment neuropathies, to discuss strategies for prevention of perioperative nerve injuries, to demonstrate practical nerve mapping technique, to coach injection techniques:

1. Cervical sympathetic trunk

2. Suprascapular nerve

3. Ilioinguinal/iliohypogastric nerve

4. Greater occipital nerve

5. Median nerve at wrist

6. Ulnar nerve at cubital canal  

7. Intercostal nerve

8. Tibial nerve at tarsal canal

9. Pudendal nerve

10. Superior hypogastric block 


Demonstrate and coach the following musculoskeletal injection techniques:

1. AC joint

2. Bicep tendon (peri)

3. Glenohumeral Joint (any approach) 

4.  Subdeltoid bursa

6. Medial or lateral epicondyle injection/fenestration 

8. Piriformis injection

9. Hip joint injection

10.Trochanteric bursa injection

11. Knee joint injection

12. Distal ITB peritendon injection

13. Tibiotalar joint injection
